If you step a few paces outside the front door of our lovely book shop and look to the West you will see Bridport's iconic Colmer's Hill. Don't hang about though as you will be standing in the middle of the town's busiest street.
This is a calm, relaxing and friendly shop and we aim to provide comprehensive and excellent service for customers of all ages. We regularly hold communal events and support local authors. We are particularly proud of our cookery section but the whole shop is full of all sorts of treasures. We are close to the centre of this historic market town and it has been said that, during his brief stay in the town in 1651, Charles II was hoping somebody would recommend him a really good book. Alas, he came too soon.
Our cosy shop is a haven for book lovers young and old. Relaxed and informal surroundings boast a wide range of high quality books and gifts. Friendly staff are always on hand to help and provide excellent service.
